Eve Marder received her Ph.D. in 1974 from the University of California at San Diego, and joined the faculty at Brandeis University in 1978 after postdoctoral training at the University of Oregon and the Ecole Normale Superieure. Marder is a Past President of the Society for Neuroscience, and a member of the National Academies of Sciences and Medicine, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She is Deputy Editor of eLife. Honors include: Salpeter Memorial Award, Gerard Prize, George A. Miller Award, Karl Spencer Lashley Prize, an Honorary Doctorate from Bowdoin College, Gruber Award in Neuroscience, Kavli Prize in Neuroscience.
